The eBGP configuration changes were made to the links to both upstream ISPs with no problems noted.

eBGP modification required to properly balance Internet and Internet2 traffic.
Tonight at approximately 8PM, WVNET will be making configuration adjustments to our eBGP settings with both of our upstream ISPs, OARnet and 3ROX.
Due to the eBGP “soft reconfiguration” parameter currently enabled, this change is not expected to cause any service disruptions nor be noticeable to customers. We have confirmed this with our vendor engineer.
However, out of an abundance of caution, we are notifying customers in advance.
This modification is necessary to ensure that traffic exiting through our upstream ISPs is properly balanced and correct sub-optimal routing of Internet traffic.
